Puff Daddy released his landmark debut album No Way Out in 1997—it was a smash for Bad Boy Records, and cemented Puff’s legacy as a force to be dealt with. Now, almost 20 years later, he’s going right back where he started.
In an interview with Rap-Up, new Bad Boy member Gizzle made the announcement that Puff Daddy, or Diddy, or P. Diddy, or Sean Combs, will release a followup to his debut titled No Way Out 2—and it’s apparently going to be the rapper’s last album.

“I’m working on Puff Daddy’s last album,” explained Gizzle. “It’s called No Way Out 2. It’s a crazy project. I’m very honored to be a part of it. Nobody can make an album like Puff Daddy. I’ll be actually rapping on there, too.”
Gizzle added that this will be Puff’s final project. “It’s one of a kind,” he noted. “The mindset is to just be classic and be epic and to really live up to that. We know it’s a tall order, but we welcome the challenge.”
Of course, this raises the question: what happened to MMM, the album the rapper has been teasing since last year? Now it’s sounding like that release will be a different thing entirely, though its contents are not yet known.
Puff Daddy released a new single last week with Pharrell called “Finna Get Loose.”
