Artist and mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs may have been in the forefront of 2004’s “Vote or Die” campaign, but over the weekend he said the whole process of voting was a scam.
Combs held an #AskDiddy panel at the Revolt Music Conference in Miami on October 17. He did a good job of keeping the questions away from gossip and the discussion of his relationship with former artists. HipHopWired reports things took a serious turn when he was asked how young people could truly be heard and have their presence felt in the next presidential election.

“See the things that’s tricky about politics is there’s so much bulls— with it. We started Vote or Die and…and from the community we’re in, we’re not with hearing too much of the bulls—. So that’s why we get disenfranchised, [we’re] disconnected because nothing that they’re saying actually relates to us,” Diddy said to cheers. Although Diddy thinks the process of voting is a sham, he still wants you to cast a ballot when election day rolls around.
Diddy continued, “At the end of the day I’m not telling you not to vote, but I’m saying be a realist and know that they motherf—— kicking some bulls— up there.”
Do you agree with the rap mogul’s views on the voting process? What needs to be done to make it better?
