Hip-hop commemorated the 19th anniversary of The Notorious B.I.G.’s death on March 9th by sharing memories of what his music meant to the culture.
Music mogul and the late rapper’s best friend Diddy added to the piles of stories by posting a video praising Biggie as the greatest rapper of all time. Diddy also dug into the archives and shared some never-before-seen footage of Biggie in the studio laying down his verses for “Hypnotize.”

Diddy also posted a clip talking about the impact the slain rapper had on his career as well as hip-hop as a whole. Many consider Biggie the best ever because both of the albums he released during his all too brief career are certified classics. Ready to Die contains the hit singles “One More Chance,” “Warning,” and “Big Poppa.” Life After Death is remembered for tracks like the aforementioned “Hypnotize,” Notorious Thugz,” and “Sky’z the Limit.”
